His boots crunched through the gravel as he followed what appeared to be the ruts of wheels through the loose rocks. Up ahead, he saw a cart, with several men bickering loudly in Iolan. Through the candlelight of a nearby inn, he could make out one of the men's features: long red hair with a rather gaunt face. "I-I don't know! I told you!" said one of the men, a meek and short fellow. "She turned a corner and she was gone!"
"Is it really so hard to keep track of a damned little girl!?" the gaunt man said. "I don't even know why we trust you with anything!"
"Oi, I should've been the one watchin' her," a rather portly fellow interjected.
"That doesn't help!" the gaunt man barked at the fat man. "She was very important, and now she's gone!"
Rolph stepped up the the Iolans and casually stood nearby.
